Tragedy unfolded in Utah as a missing woman’s case took a grim turn. Authorities have confirmed the death of Jeusselem Elieth Genes, who was reported missing last week. Her husband, Alvaro Jose Urbina Rojas, has emerged as a “person of interest” in the investigation.

Genes vanished on Thursday morning after last being seen in the company of her husband in Saratoga Springs. The 57-year-old was supposed to drive her to work, but neither returned home that evening. Concern escalated when it was discovered that Genes never arrived at her workplace that day, as reported by KSTU.

Efforts to trace the couple’s whereabouts led investigators to ping their cell phones. While Genes’ phone was found to be switched off, Rojas’ phone was detected in the Draper area. Despite this lead, neither Rojas nor his vehicle could be located by the authorities.

The investigation took a critical turn when detectives discovered a camping trailer linked to Rojas at a storage facility in Draper. Upon inspection on Saturday, the trailer was found locked, and a search warrant was not obtained until Monday. Tragically, when officers entered, they found Genes’ lifeless body inside.

The delay between Genes being reported missing and the discovery of her body seemingly provided Rojas with an opportunity to evade capture. Investigators tracked his credit card activity, revealing his presence in southern California. Surveillance footage further confirmed sightings of his vehicle along the route to this region.

Authorities have issued an alert for Rojas, who is believed to be driving a gray 2005 Toyota Sequoia with a Utah license plate, T40 9YB. Descriptions from the Saratoga Springs police describe him as 5’09” tall, weighing 193 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
