GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A 33-year-old woman, Jaquaila Rachelle Lee, faced arrest in the early hours after accusations of threatening to run over a man with her car at a gas station and splashing a drink on him.

On September 19, around 6:20 p.m., it was claimed that Lee’s vehicle was obstructing others in the Circle K parking area at 5200 NE Waldo Road. When approached by an employee with a request to relocate her car, Lee reportedly became agitated and began a dispute.

Amidst the altercation, another individual maneuvered his vehicle around Lee’s and occupied a nearby available gas pump, commenting that it was overdue for someone to ask her to move.

Lee is said to have driven her car next to the man’s, exited, and engaged in a verbal conflict with him. Prior to returning to her vehicle, she allegedly took a drink and launched it at the man, impacting both him and his car.

She then entered her car and proceeded toward the northern exit of the lot, as the man approached her vehicle, vocally confronting her and appearing to record with his mobile phone.

Lee allegedly spun her car around and accelerated toward the man, halting just before reaching him. After he shifted out of her path, she reportedly adjusted her car’s position and made a second advancement toward him, again coming to a stop just before contact.

Lee reportedly kept arguing with the victim until a friend convinced her to leave.

A witness told the responding Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputy that he saw Lee threaten to hit the victim with her vehicle, and several other witnesses said they heard Lee make threatening statements toward the victim.

The victim reportedly said Lee threatened to kill him while digging around in her vehicle and driving toward him.

Lee was arrested at her Waldo home at about 3:30 a.m.

Lee has been charged with battery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She was charged in five criminal cases between 2010 and 2014, but her only conviction was for driving without a valid license. Judge Sheree Lancaster set bail at $15,000.

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
