Nyang Chamdual is a 14 years old student who was arrested for a 15-year-old boy who was slain, and two adolescent females were critically injured in a shooting outside of a school.
Six teenagers have been accused in the shooting with one count of first-degree murder and two charges of attempted murder.
According to a Des Moines Police Department spokesperson, the fatal victim was the intended target, but the two other victims were not. According to Parizek, the gunfire came from many shooters and vehicles.
The reason for the crime has yet to be established by police.
The victims’ names were not revealed. The 15-year-old did not attend East High School, according to Parizek. The other two victims were pupils at the school who were severely injured.
According to school officials, the incident occurred near the northwest part of the school property. The shooting was believed to have come from a passing vehicle, according to police. Shells were found at the location and recovered.
