Feeling overwhelmed trying to figure out how to watch this year’s French Open? Resorting to catching Challengers in the meantime to satisfy your tennis cravings? (Not that we’re complaining!) Well, fret not, because we’re here to assist!

The renowned tournament began on Sunday (May 25) and will continue until next Thursday, June 5. Among those carrying the U.S. flag at Roland-Garros are Coco Gauff, Taylor Fritz (although he’s already bowed out after a Round 1 defeat), Jessica Pegula, Emma Navarro, Marcos Giron, and Brandon Nakashima.

Although the French Open, hosted at Roland Garros Stadium, has been taking place since 1925, the “French Clay-Court Championships” actually originated in 1891. However, it was initially only accessible to French participants, according to the Roland-Garros website.

According to Sports Illustrated, Spanish tennis phenom Carlos Alcaraz won last year’s French Open, and is back competing in this year’s tournament. However, he holds the #2 ranking in this year’s player pool, with Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner ranking #1.
