Shannon Leto, the older brother of Jared Leto and a member of the band 30 Seconds to Mars, tied the knot with his fiancée, Cara Santana, at a discreet ceremony in Beverly Hills on May 5.
The 53-year-old Oscar winner was in high spirits, taking on the role of photographer to capture the special moments of the wedding between the 55-year-old drummer and 41-year-old actress.
‘5-5-5 represents new beginnings,’ Cara explained to Vogue Mexico on Wednesday.
‘Five is our lucky number, signifying the years we’ve been together. We kept the guest list to 50 people to maintain an intimate atmosphere. The wedding was unconventional, deeply personal, and incredibly enjoyable!’
Santana-Leto gushed of her ‘dream’ wedding: ‘The wedding was perfect. At the table, we enjoyed a menu of dishes, emotional speeches, and exchanged vows. Then we danced the entire night.’
The Louisiana-born brothers beamed while being supported at the family function by their mother, Constance.

Guests also included Miss Universe host Olivia Culpo and her NFL husband Christian McCaffrey as well as Iddo Goldberg, Stephanie Suganami, and Ashley Madekwe.
Shannon looked dapper in a black Amiri suit over a matching tee while the Texan beauty wore a backless white-silk halter gown by Danielle Franke and vintage Christian Louboutin heels.
The ceremony, lit by 4K candles, also featured performances from a string trio and mentalist Austin Janick.
The newlyweds originally met at a café nearly two decades ago but reconnected in August 2020 – seven months after she ended her four-year engagement to The Comic Shop actor Jesse Metcalfe.
By contrast, Shannon and Cara were only engaged for five months after he proposed at their home alongside their dogs.
There won’t be much time for a honeymoon as 30 Seconds to Mars is already scheduled to bring their 85-date Seasons Tour to Kazahkstan’s Spartak Stadium in Alamaty on June 21.
Jared and Shannon co-founded their alternative rock band in 1998 and they’ve released six studio albums and average 8.9M monthly listeners on Spotify.
30STM lead guitarist Tomo Milicevic quit the band in 2018.
Leto has been accused of running a female fan-filled ‘cult’ through 30STM’s all-inclusive three-day festival Mars Island in Croatia where passes typically cost between $1,649-$7,149.
