Carrie Underwood appeared to be in a deeply patriotic mood this week as the United States marked its semiquincentennial milestone.
The 43-year-old country music star recently shared a video on Instagram showcasing a wide Southern landscape, where a long fence was decorated with American flags.
“I can’t believe I get to live here. Thank you, Lord. #GodBlessAmerica #Grateful #TN,” Underwood wrote alongside the scenic clip, which featured stretches of vibrant greenery.
Rather than set the extended video to music, Underwood kept the natural audio intact, allowing the sound of the wind and the low hum of the road to accompany the footage filmed from the passenger seat.
The post struck an emotional chord with some of her followers. One fan commented, “I am a combat vet Vietnam and not very emotional (any longer) but you bring deep feelings into my heart for this country. Bless you.”
Underwood’s tribute arrived just before the Fourth of July weekend, as the country commemorated 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Another veteran added, ‘Oh my gosh. I hope others that served like me get to see this post.
‘If those flags reflect your appreciation for your freedom, that display makes the stuff I’ve experienced a little less painful. Thank you, Carrie. Thanks to Mike and the boys, too.’
The entertainer has been married to former NHL star Mike Fisher, 46, since 2010.
The longtime married couple share sons Isaiah, 11, and Jacob, seven.
Taking to her Instagram Stories on Saturday, the American Idol sensation shared a photo of a basket of peaches.
‘Picked some peaches in the orchard,’ she told her 13.1 million followers.
Her subsequent post was a snapshot of a freshly baked treat that she captioned, ‘Made a cobbler!’
Underwood rose to fame when she won American Idol in 2005.
She returned to the show as a judge for its 23rd season in 2025 – replacing outgoing Katy Perry on the panel – and she is back for the current 24th season.

Underwood has sometimes been criticized for her conservative leanings.
In January 2025, the eight-time Grammy winner was hit with fan backlash after she performed at Donald Trump’s second presidential inauguration.
She defended her decision to perform for the new administration, saying she loves America and was ‘humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity.’
At the time, The View’s Joy Behar claimed the songstress was honoring Trump after he was convicted in his hush money trial in New York.
‘She says, “I love our country.” How do you love your country and support and normalize somebody who was a convicted felon who really wants to destroy the country, in my opinion?
‘I don’t understand how you say you love your country at the same time that you normalize this convicted felon,’ Behar argued.
