For many people getting ready for a festival is a big deal and often involves wardrobe discussions, fake tans and blow dries.

Many might think it’s only reality TV personalities who indulge in such treatments, but Eddie Izzard shows he enjoys some pampering too.

The comedian was seen out jogging and then went for a manicure, which he shared with MailOnline was ‘the best he’s ever had,’ just before the V Festival began in Essex on Saturday.

Getting ready: The funnyman was seen treating himself to a pedicure before taking to the stage

The 51-year-old looked keen to get his day going with a quick jog in Chelmsford, where the festival took place, before his performance that day.

Looking fit and active the funnyman wore a pair of black running shorts and a red jacket, while his eyes were covered with sunglasses.

And as he made his way back into the festival area, he was seen checking his watch perhaps keen not to miss his performance.

Luckily, Izzard had the chance to squeeze in a pampering session at the beauty tent, where he treated himself to a manicure with a deep red polish.

The comedian, who headlined the comedy stage at the festival, is known to have perfectly manicured nails. 

It would seem Eddie wasn’t the only gentleman at the event who ensured they dressed to impress.

Marvin Humes looked particularly dapper as he made his way around the Virgin Media Louder Lounge alongside his wife Rochelle.

Opting for fresh summer colours her wore a pale green blazer over a yellow T-shirt with blue jeans. 

Una Healey’s man Ben Foden was a little more casual wearing a blue vest which showed off his impressive biceps. 

One Direction singer Niall Horan also went for bright opting for a colourful T-shirt with a pair of denim shorts.
