All the details: Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep kick off 'The Devil Wears Prada 2' global tour in fashion-forward looks

Two decades after “The Devil Wears Prada” captivated cinema-goers, Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci are revisiting the bustling streets of New York City and the iconic “Runway” magazine. They are reprising their beloved roles as Miranda, Andy, Emily, and Nigel in the much-anticipated sequel that has been years in the making.

Kicking off their international promotional tour, Streep and Hathaway embraced the movie’s fashion essence by starting in Mexico City at the Museu Frida Kahlo. During a special fan event at Museo Anahuacalli, they showcased stunning outfits on a runway inspired by the film, featuring classic pieces from famous Mexican designers.

Their tour began in Mexico City and will continue to Tokyo, Seoul, and Shanghai, leading up to the film’s grand unveiling in New York City and its European debut in London.

The sequel reunites the original star-studded cast under the direction of David Frankel with a script by Aline Brosh McKenna. New characters are introduced, played by Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, and B.J. Novak. Returning from the first film, Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman will reprise their roles as “Lily” and “Irv.”

Scheduled for release by 20th Century Studios, “The Devil Wears Prada 2” is set to hit theaters on May 1.
