Outback Wrangler star released from prison, missing birth of baby boy

Outback Wrangler star Matt Wright has been freed from jail, just in time to almost miss the arrival of his newborn son.

He received a 10-month sentence, which was suspended after five months, along with a two-year good behavior bond following a jury’s decision that found him guilty on two charges of attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Wright is currently appealing these convictions.

“Finally home with my family after one hell of a fight,” Wright shared in an Instagram post, featuring a photo of himself with his two older children and wife, Kaia, holding their newborn.

“Didn’t quite make the birth of our beautiful boy Sterling but @kaiawright1 did an incredible job.”

It is reported that Kaia gave birth to their third child just hours before Wright was released, as her efforts to obtain an early release for him on compassionate grounds from NT authorities did not succeed.
