As Survivor fans gear up for the show’s milestone Season 50, series alum Elisabeth Hasselbeck has addressed whether or not she will be back.
As reported by People, Hasselbeck, who finished fourth on the reality competition series’ second season under her maiden name Elisabeth Filarski, confirmed she is “not doing Survivor.” She shared this update with her Instagram followers over the weekend via her story.
“That’s funny, but no, I’m not doing that. Instead, I’ll be here with snacks,” she laughed, giving viewers a glimpse of her backyard. “I plan to be gardening and working on some exciting projects that I’ll share with you, but those plans don’t involve Fiji or Survivor.”
This comes amidst rumors that the Survivor: The Australian Outback veteran might return for Season 50. According to previous announcements made by host and executive producer Jeff Probst in February, Season 50 is themed “In the Hands of the Fans.” Fans were given the chance to vote on various elements of the upcoming season, scheduled to air next year, which will feature contestants from the past 49 seasons of the show.
While the Season 50 cast is being announced on Wednesday on CBS Mornings, the show’s Instagram account has teased some of the casting selections, including returning castaways from Survivor 48, Survivor: Cook Islands (Season 13), Survivor: David vs. Goliath (Season 37), Survivor: Borneo (Season 1), and Survivor: 42.
Meanwhile Hasselbeck, who was previously a member of The View‘s Hot Topics Table, recently published the children’s book God’s Masterpiece: An Adventure in Discovering Your Worth.
Prior to Season 50, Survivor 49 is slated to air this fall on CBS, and stream live on Paramount+.
