Despite being a Hollywood superstar, Matt Damon isn’t immune to the playful teasing of his teenage kids.

The 55-year-old actor attended the premiere of his latest film, The Rip, in New York City on Tuesday, accompanied by his elegant wife Luciana and their daughters: Alexia, 25, Isabella, 19, Gia, 17, and Stella, 15.

Though he was joined by his co-star and longtime friend Ben Affleck, who posed with him for numerous photos, all eyes were on Matt, especially those of his children.

While both actors looked dapper in their matching suits, Matt’s stance became a source of amusement for his daughter Gia.

In a clip shared by Entertainment Tonight on X, the 17-year-old humorously called out her dad’s awkward posture as he made his way back to them.

She jokingly asked, “Why are you standing like that?” before mimicking his pose by bending forward and flamboyantly spreading her arms wide.

But Matt’s body posture drew ridicule from daughter Gia, who imitated him by hunching forward and dramatically flaring her arms out to the sides as she asked ‘Why are you standing like this?’

But, Matt appeared far from chagrined by his daughter’s teasing as he burst into laughter and copied her exaggerated impression of him.

Ben, 53, later gushed over what a wonderful dad his pal was as he opened up on their decades-long friendship to Us Weekly on the red carpet.

He said: ‘I keep relearning things about Matt that I already knew and I forget them. Honestly, I am continuously reminded of what a great father he is and what a fabulous actor he is.’

The Argo star added that it ‘fun’ getting to go through their career journeys side-by-side, saying: ‘You’re really lucky if you can do this for a living. And you’re exceptionally lucky if you can do it with people you love and care about.’

The pair’s latest project together, The Rip, follows a group of Miami cops who stumble upon a multi-million cash haul, sparking distrust and paranoia amongst them.

Ben plays Detective Sergeant JD Byrne while Matt stars as Lieutenant Dane Dumars in the Netflix cop drama, with Teyana Taylor joining the cast of the film, fresh off her Golden Globes win on Sunday.

It comes after Matt revealed that his wife Luciana, 49, had originally thought that Ben was ‘the cute one’ out of the two of them, before they crossed paths.

The couple first met at a Miami bar in 2003 while the actor was filming Stuck on You, and went on to tie the knot three years later, with Matt becoming stepfather to her daughter Alexia, and going on to welcome Isabella, Gia and Stella together.

However, a few months into their relationship, the Martian star learned that when Luciana had first seen his and Ben’s star-making film, Good Will Hunting, she had actually been attracted more to his BFF.

Appearing on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show on Monday with Ben, Matt recalled: ‘This is f****** completely true.

‘After we’d been together for a little while, probably a few months, she admitted that – I think I met her best friend from high school, and it came out that the two of them went and saw Good Will Hunting together, and her best friend thought I was the cute one, and she thought Ben was the cute one.

‘So she admitted to me… I’m like, ‘You got the wrong one?’ She told me that 23 years ago.’

When asked if hearing something like that ‘stays with you’ over the years, Matt pointed out the trio now work together often as his wife is a producer on The Rip and Ben’s next directorial project, Animals.

He said: ‘She’s a great producer and a really good friend, and yeah, I never got that vibe from her. So I think something I did in real life rubbed it off.’

‘Finally she met him and all that went away,’ he quipped.

Matt and Ben were the writers and stars of the 1997 hit movie, a film that earned them Oscars for best Original Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor for Robin Williams.

During Matt and Ben’s latest interview, the Oscar-winning duo also reflected on the unusual way they rose to fame together in their mid-twenties.

‘Your evolution gets kind of stunted at the moment you become famous because the world treats you differently,’ Matt explained. 

‘I think we were lucky in that we were 25 and 27, so we had a handful of years under our belt where we would walk into a room and not turn any heads.’

The two finished the thought in unison, bluntly adding, ‘And nobody gave a s**t.’
