Pauline Hanson’s One Nation party is changing its name, the eponymous leader has announced.

In a recent announcement on her website, a Queensland senator has shared that the party previously known as Pauline Hanson’s One Nation (PHON) will now be officially called “One Nation.” This change aligns with the name by which the party is commonly recognized by Australians.

The announcement highlighted this change as a “defining moment for the movement,” emphasizing its dedication to being a voice for everyday Australians who prioritize fairness, sovereignty, and unity.

“The rebranding underscores One Nation’s dedication to restoring trust in politics, safeguarding Australian values, and advocating for the interests of ordinary Australians in every state and territory,” the statement noted.

With this move, Senator Pauline Hanson aims to reinforce the message that One Nation remains resilient and unified, as captured in the slogan: “one voice, one people, one nation.”

Currently, One Nation holds four seats in the federal Senate but does not have representation in the federal lower house.

Recent polling by Roy Morgan showed One Nation’s primary support had risen to 12 per cent in October, compared to 35 per cent for Labor, 27 per cent for the Coalition, and 13 per cent for the Greens.

Pauline Hanson originally established the party in 1997 after being removed as a Liberal candidate due to her controversial stance against special government assistance for Indigenous Australians.
