The pressure is on for the 90 Day Fiancé season 11 couples! With the 90-day visa clock ticking down, episode 9 saw some heartfelt moments while meeting the parents, while others were facing off with exes.

90 Day Fiance’s Sarper Finally Meets Shekinah’s Daughter Sophie

Although Shekinah Garner was “relieved” that her daughter, Sophie, had *finally* agreed to meet Sarper Güven, that was only half the battle.

“But, you know, I’m a little nervous because it could go totally wrong,” she said in a private confessional. “Sarper does not have more than one chance for a first impression, so it’s really important for him to get this right the first time.”

Sarper booked an exciting whale watching trip for the trio’s first outing, and Sophie came ready to form her own opinion on her mother’s fiancé.

“I feel like I’d already seen him before because of all the pictures and like, I already knew how he looked [and] talked, but I also feel like I want to get to know him more as a person as well,” Sophie told cameras. “I like to see him treat my mom with respect as in the way he talks to her. Like I know communication gets a little lost or like the way that he words things, but it’s kind of common sense on some of the things you say, and you don’t.”

A whale watching trip seemingly wasn’t the best first meeting spot as all three quickly became seasick, with the Turkey native throwing up in a plastic bag.

After the trio regrouped, Sarper began to open up to Sophie and admitted he felt pressure to make a good impression, unlike when Shekinah’s sister visited the couple during season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way.

“It’s so difficult to say these kind of things because two years ago when I met with your mother, I was totally different, man. For example, when I met with Shariyah, at that time, I really didn’t care what her sister says,” he explained, adding it was his “mindset” at the time.

Sophie knew about Sarper and Shariyah’s rocky relationship and assured him that he would have the opportunity to “prove” himself to her family.

“Hearing him take responsibility for how the situation with him and Shariyah did go downhill really opened my eyes as to how he has changed and how he could change even more in the future,” she said. “And I hope he’s not just telling me what he thinks I want to hear. I hope that it’s sincere and genuine. I guess we’ll just find out.”

90 Day Fiance’s Mina Arranges a Meeting With Mark’s Ex

After the family visit in North Carolina, Mark Bessette and Aminata “Mina” Mack jetted off to Florida, where he used to live.

Mark introduced Mina to a woman named Diana, who was the ex-wife of one of his friends. Diana previously introduced Mark to one of his exes, which made Mina uneasy.

The trio met at Diana’s boutique, where Mark left the two women to talk alone. Diana was happy to finally meet Mina but added, “But I’m shocked that you’re here because I thought like you were going to stay in France and that you never came to visit. And I would kept asking Mark, why didn’t she come to visit?”

Mina explained that it was a visa issue, prompting Diana to voice the “reservations” she had about Mina and Mark’s relationship. She shared that Mina reminded her of Mark’s ex Jade— the one she had introduced him to — and admitted she didn’t believe Mark was truly over her.

“I’m sure if they had stayed a little longer together, he would have definitely asked her to marry him,” Diana added.

Mina asked Diana why Mark and Jade broke up. Diana explained that they had been living together, but the relationship ended because Jade didn’t want to move to New Hampshire. Mina was surprised as Mark had previously told her they never lived together.

The move wasn’t the only reason for the split. “One of the things was that Jade called me when she was living in the house with him and he was working, he was flying and he left his iPad and his phone’s connected to the iPad,” Diana revealed. “He was talking to other girls, and he had pictures with other girls. So, he was cheating on her essentially when they were living together.”

Diana also dropped the bomb that Mark was “still trying to be with” Jade when he began his relationship with Mina. This angered Jade as it made her feel like a “replacement.” Diana suggested that Mina talk to Mark’s ex and gave her phone number.

Mina returned to Mark and immediately brought up how he lied to her about living with Jade. “I told you she lived in the house when I was in Florida,” he replied, which Mina denies remembering.

Instead of waiting for Mark to give her the answers she wanted, Mina later reached out to his ex, and the pair arranged to meet for coffee.

90 Day Fiance’s Mahdi Asked for Stevi’s Dad’s Blessing

Although Mahdi and Stevi’s relationship wasn’t in the best place, they had a double date planned with her friends, Megan and Adam, at a local glassblowing studio.

“My headspace right now is just kind of in a weird place because I’ve been waiting on Mahdi to prove to me that he’s 100% ready to get married,” Stevi said in a confessional. “But honestly, I’m the one lately that’s been questioning things. Not only do I want to figure out what Mahdi wants, I am analyzing him to figure out what I want.”

Megan was surprised to find out that Stevi had no details of her wedding planned out yet, which raised red flags that the couple was having second thoughts about the lifelong commitment.

“I do worry there might be something going on between them because she’s just kind of had a weird vibe tonight,” Megan told producers. “Of course, I think it has to do with Mahdi. I don’t like it. It makes me a little nervous that Stevi’s been a little cagey about the wedding date.”

Megan asked to speak with her friend privately to figure out what was going on, and Stevi admitted she was beginning to get cold feet about marriage.

“You know, I’ve always said like I’m not ever going to get married unless it’s there for everything. Like if there’s any form of doubt, then I’m not going to do it,” she explained to her friend. “And before Mahdi got here, there was zero doubt in my mind. But then after he got here, he said things and I was just kind of like, I don’t know.”

Meanwhile, Madhi confessed to Adam that he was “homesick” and felt that every time he said something to Stevi, “it totally fired back” on him.

Stevi questioned if she was the one uncertain, adding, “I have been waiting for him to prove to me that he’s 100 percent on board with getting married, but I’m realizing that for the first time in our whole entire relationship, I’m starting to question whether this is something that I want to do or not. And the closer we get to the 90 days, the scarier it is. Because I don’t know where I’m at right now.”

Mahdi later had time with Stevi’s dad planned at a monster truck show. Unsure about what to expect, he planned to ask for Stevi’s dad’s blessing to marry her at some time during the outing.

“There is something really important that I wanted to share with you and that is I’m fixing to propose to Stevi really soon,” he asked the patriarch. “I did it once in Turkey and honestly, I think she didn’t like it. And that’s because we don’t do it like this in Iran. So, I just wanted to have your blessing and also to have the permission to do that.”

Stevi’s father asked what the timeframe for marriage is, to which Mahdi replied that it would be “really soon.” Stevi’s dad questioned Mahdi’s commitment and asked if he had any “second thoughts” about moving to the United States.

“It was just like a random thought that came to my mind the first day that I was here in and I was in New Orleans and I was like thinking right now, I already miss my family, what should I do?” he replied. “And you know, there’s always a chance of like not being able to come back here when I get to Iran.”

Mahdi assured Stevi’s father there was no returning to Iran. “I love her and she loves me. So I can’t like promise you that I will take a good care of her forever,” Mahdi told him.

90 Day Fiance’s Any Asked Matt and Amani to Give Her ‘Time’ to Tell Family About Throuple Relationship

Amani Jlassi, Matt Jlassi and Any Aguirre were recuperating after the “disaster” at the winery the night before. Matt and Amani went to breakfast to speak about their throuple dynamic, while they left Any sleeping on the couch.

Matt told his wife that he felt “pushed away” when Any hurt her and worried about Amani’s heart getting broken. Amani questioned Matt if he loved Any, to which he replied, “If I’m comparing love as what I feel for you like today, it definitely can’t be that amount of love. I’ve known you and got to know you for so long now.”

The mother of two was surprised to hear this, asking, “Isn’t this the whole point of the whole thing?”

Matt and Amani returned home, knowing they needed to talk to Any about what had happened the night before.

Any promised to tell her parents about their throuple relationship and asked the couple to “give her time,” but when asked how much time she needed, she couldn’t say.

“There’s a reason why we have not asked the hard questions because we’ve been so afraid to push her away,” Amani said in a confessional with producers. “She asking for time and we want to be able to give her that and respect that. But I can’t wait forever. That’s a lot to ask from somebody.”

90 Day Fiance’s Joan Gives Greg a Job Deadline

Gregory “Greg” Chillak and Joan Kruchov were focused on their fitness during episode 9, where the Africa native reminded him that she wanted to return home if he did not get a “real job.”

The former baker was upset to hear this but mentioned he had an upcoming job interview with the state for a facilities assistant position.

“Hope you don’t screw this up,” she told him, before adding in a private confessional, “I had to get serious with Gregory so that he can change

for the betterment of our future.”

Joan initially gave Greg a two-week deadline to find a job, but he negotiated for a month instead, arguing that two weeks was “too fast.”

‘90 Day Fiance’ Stars Alliya and Shawn Relationship Keeps ‘Changing’

Alliya de Batista and Shawn Finch were in full-blown wedding-planning mode! Alliya met up with her friend Jackie to discuss the upcoming nuptials, however, Jackie had questions — including about Alliya and Shawn’s sex life.

The Brazil native admitted their sex life took a hit at first, but eventually improved, adding, “Now I feel like we are learning everything again and how we really see each other.”

“Sometimes I’m feeling like confident and beautiful and sometimes I just look to myself, and I feel like I’m not complete, that it’s something missing,” Alliya explained. “I think for now I really want to have like, boobs.”

Alliya admitted she had yet to tell Shawn about this as she was worried that he would eventually “miss dating men.”

“But it’s something that you cannot give to him anymore. I know that he is supporting me but I really don’t know how much more he will handle,” he said.

Jackie arrived at Shawn and Alliya’s house, where the couple had prepared food and drinks for the three of them.

Jackie asked what wedding plans they had, which Shawn replied, “Well, I mean if I had my dream scenario of things that would be that we could just live together and not have to do the K1 at all, that we could put the wedding off because I think our relationship keeps changing.”

Jackie asked why they planned to get married, and Shawn explained that it was the only way they could live together in the U.S.
