Social media was soon flooded with criticism of Wallis's conduct, with some fans urging Channel Nine to stop inviting him to future auctions.
“Danny is such a joke. Just go away,” one person wrote on X. Another added: “Danny, your silly bids aren't funny anymore.”
A third viewer launched an angry attack, saying Wallis should be prevented from even entering the suburb where The Block is filmed and calling him a “complete f**kwit.”
“It's time The Block stopped inviting Danny to these auctions. This is ridiculous,” another critic posted.

“Danny is a chump on The Block. It's time for him and his ridiculous bids to disappear,” another viewer commented.
Someone else addressed the show's producers directly: “Dear producers, none of us think Danny is funny or enjoyable. Get rid of him. Thanks.”
Others took a more sarcastic approach, joking about the effect Wallis has on the auction atmosphere.
“Thank goodness Danny Wallis is there,” one person wrote.
“What would we do without his genius bids of '$3 million, five hundred thousand, four hundred and fifty-seven dollars and 15 cents, plus a bag of Skittles?
“But only the red ones... actually, I'll throw in two yellow ones as well.”
Viewers also noticed that Wallis left the auction while Chantel and Wyatt's House 2 was being offered.

How do you think Danny Wallis’s wild bidding affects the excitement and fairness of The Block auctions?
The bidding pace slowed after serial bidder Wallis walked away, although he soon returned to take part in the auction once again.
“Everyone was laughing at Danny, so he walked out,” one viewer observed.
Another argued that The Block should introduce clearer auction rules to curb what they described as Wallis's disruptive bidding.
“His bids are ridiculous, and then he walked out. He contributes nothing except annoying viewers,” the commenter wrote.
Wallis competed for several properties during the finale, including House 1, the first home to go under the hammer. The property was renovated by South Australian couple Adam and Jolene.
Listed with a reserve of $3.45 million, House 1 sold for $3.905 million, delivering Adam and Jolene a profit of $455,000.
