Erling Haaland continued his Champions League goal-scoring run, in Manchester City’s 3-1 win over FC Copenhagen.

The Norwegian now equals Sergio Aguero’s goal scoring record in 42 fewer games as City secure ticket for the quarter-finals.

City defeated Copenhagen with a total aggregate of 6-2. Haaland’s goal, his 41st in just 37 Champions League appearances, continues to show how much talent he is.

The 23-year-old’s goal-scoring feat is particularly impressive, as he has reached Aguero’s milestone in significantly fewer matches.

Haaland now joins a select group of only 18 players in Champions League history to have scored more goals.

Haaland’s goal against FC Copenhagen also sees him join Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe at the top of this season’s Champions League scoring chart.

All three players have now scored six goals so far in the 2023/24 campaign.

City’s dominant performance in the Copenhagen clash was characterized by goals from Manuel Akanji and Julian Alvarez.

Mohamed Elyounoussi pulled one back for the visitors, before Haaland sealed City’s victory just before half-time.
