Ollie Watkins contributed to Aston Villa’s 4-2 win against Nottingham Forest, where he scored one and assisted another.

His performance against Forest also marked a personal milestone, as he became the first Villa player since Dwight Yorke to reach double figures for both goals and assists in a Premier League season.

He is now on the verge of breaking Yorke’s long-standing record at Aston Villa, needing just four more goal contributions to surpass Yorke’s tally of 27 set in the 1995/96 season.

The 28-year-old striker has been instrumental this season for Villa, notching up 14 goals and 10 assists in the Premier League.

Villa’s win over Forest keeps them in the race for a top-four finish in the Premier League, a position that would secure them a spot in the Champions League for the first time since 1996.
