Manchester United secured a potentially season-defining win over Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday, knocking their arch rivals out of the FA Cup courtesy of a 121st minute goal from Amad Diallo.

Amad’s goal was the seventh of a stunning FA Cup quarter-final game, secured Man Utd’s place in the semi-finals and ended Liverpool’s hopes of winning a remarkable quadruple this season.

And to make the rewards for the win even sweeter, the Red Devils have avoided Premier League opposition in the semi-finals – being drawn against Championship outfit Coventry City.

Here’s Man Utd’s best and worst players from the win, courtesy of 90min’s esteemed player ratings.

Scott McTominay’s performances are a lot like a box of chocolates, you never really know what you’re going to get. One week he’ll look like the best box-to-box midfielder in the country, the next you’ll wonder how he’s even a professional footballer.

This week, we very much saw the former from McTominay. The Scotland international put in a stunning performance at Old Trafford on Sunday, bagging a goal and an assist at one end, and winning 100% of his tackles, eight duels and winning the ball back nine times at the other to inspire the Red Devils to the best win of the Erik ten Hag era.

A goalkeeper who conceded three goals getting an 8/10 rating?

It’s unheard sure, but it’s god damn deserved.

The Man Utd number one made eight stunning saves during the win, almost single-handedly keeping his team in the game during a rather difficult second half.

Without Onana, Man Utd do not beat Liverpool on Sunday.

When Jude Summerfield describes you as a “headless chicken” you know you didn’t play particularly well.

Having won 0% of his tackles, lost all but one of his duels and completed just 74% of his passes in the game, it’s fair to say that Victor Lindelof wasn’t quite at the races against Liverpool.
