Erik Lamela is in Seville to complete his move to Sevilla as Bryan Gil is set to head the other way and sign for Tottenham Hotspur in a huge swap deal.
Spurs are also set to fork out £21m for Gil, with Lamela thrown in to sweeten the deal.
Spanish publication ABC reports that Lamela has been to a hotel used by Sevilla this weekend and the exchange will be completed early next week, possible as soon as Monday 26 July.
The 29-year-old has been at Spurs since 2013 when he signed from Roma for an initial fee of just over £25m, and while he has shown flashes of brilliance in the eight years since then, he has never done it consistently.
The Argentine has made 255 appearances for the club in all competitions and scored just 37 goals.
Moving to north London is Gil, a 20-year-old winger who has already won three caps for Spain, although he only managed 14 La Liga appearances for Sevilla before his imminent departure.
Gil spent last season on loan at Eibar, scoring four goals in 28 La Liga games.
The winger is currently on international duty with the Spain Olympic side, coming on in both matches so far for his country, in a draw with Egypt and win over Australia.
When he will link-up with his new side is yet to be discovered as he will likely have some time off after the Games in Tokyo.
