Katie Price has confirmed her son Harvey does not have coronavirus.
The former glamour model’s eldest son Harvey, 18, was rushed to hospital two days ago and remains in intensive care, while doctors undergo tests.
It was reported that Harvey was being tested for Covid-19 as part of hospital routine, with Katie taking to Instagram on Tuesday night to confirm the teen does not have the virus.
She shared an update with fans via Instagram as she left hospital for the evening.
Alongside a picture of herself and Harvey, Katie wrote: ‘Hey everyone thank you again for your messages means a lot to me.
‘I’ve left the hospital for the evening and can confirm Harvey is still in intensive care, despite claims, he has not got Covid like reported, his medical condition remains complex.’
Katie added: ‘I love him so much , he is so brave and fighter.❤️❤️❤️🐸🐸.’
An insider told The Sun: ‘Harvey has been tested for the virus after he was having trouble breathing. Katie’s seriously worried about him because his heath complications would mean that catching coronavirus would be very serious.’
Katie’s rep confirmed that Harvey had been tested for coronavirus, telling the MailOnline that the star is ‘remaining calm’ as she waits for her son’s results.
Katie’s latest update comes after her spokesperson revealed to Metro.co.uk that Harvey had a ‘comfortable night’ in intensive care and is stable.
He was rushed to hospital after experiencing temperatures as high as 42 degrees and chest pains.
Earlier on Tuesday, Katie had thanked fans for their messages of support following Harvey’s hospitalisation and praised the teen for being so ‘brave and strong.’
She wrote on Instagram: ‘I can confirm Harvey still in intensive care, he is more comfortable, it’s hard as due to limited visiting hours and covid I can’t be by his bed side.
‘But he is being brave and strong , and able to face time him , I’ve let him know he has so much love and support and thank you 🙏 ❤️❤️.’
Harvey, who is blind and autistic and has Prader-Willi syndrome, was taken to hospital at the end of June for ‘urgent medical care’ after falling ill at his sister Princess’ birthday party.
He had complained of ‘needle-like’ chest pains and was treated by doctors and discharged the same day.
