Barnwell Tissue Solutions to establish operations in Barnwell County

BARNWELL, S.C. () – Barnwell Tissue Solutions, a company that manufactures tissue, revealed on Thursday its intention to establish operations in Barnwell County, which will result in 50 new jobs for the region.

A press release issued by the Office of the Governor on June 19 stated that Barnwell Tissue Solutions intends to acquire the existing tissue mill located at 285 Midfield Road in Barnwell, and the company will be investing $12 million dollars.

The company is expected to manufacture large paper rolls from recycled paper that will be converted into “away-from-home” tissue products.

“The city of Barnwell is thrilled about the news of Barnwell Tissue Solutions establishing a plant in our area,” expressed Barnwell Mayor Ron Still. “We anticipate collaborating with Barnwell Tissue Solutions and developing both an economic and community partnership that will foster growth for both parties now and moving forward.”
