SAVANNAH, Ga. () — In honor of 15 years of serving up delicious burgers, Green Truck Pub in Savannah is hosting a heartwarming celebration on October 18th. This milestone event will partner with Renegade Paws Rescue, blending joy with a cause.

Whitney Shephard, the owner of Green Truck, sees this as a heartfelt thank you to the community that has supported them for a decade and a half. “We’ll be matching donations to Renegade Paws throughout the day. Simply come for a meal, and a portion of the proceeds will support the cause. Plus, any direct donations will be matched dollar for dollar,” Shephard explains.

The festivities will feature a pet adoption and foster fair, along with local art displays, special food and drink offers, and even the unique appeal of ketchup painting. Guests are also encouraged to contribute pet supplies, such as food, toys, and leashes, to support the rescue.

Mary Britton from Renegade Paws Rescue emphasizes the importance of contributions. “Monetary donations are crucial, as they cover vaccinations and medical care. However, we also greatly appreciate leashes, collars, harnesses, and bowls that help meet our dogs’ daily needs,” Britton notes.

The event aims to strengthen local ties—whether through the bond between pet lovers and their furry friends, or between a beloved restaurant and the community that sustains it.

Kick-off for the anniversary festivities is at 4:00 p.m., with the art market running from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Green Truck Pub, located at 2430 Habersham Street in Savannah.
