Border Patrol's Bovino to 'go harder' after Chicago judge's order

CHICAGO — The leader of the U.S. Border Patrol, at the forefront of an intensified federal crime and immigration enforcement effort in Chicago, is determined to escalate the operation following a recent court appearance. This week, Gregory Bovino appeared before a federal judge in Chicago, pledging to intensify the initiative.

On Wednesday, Bovino emphasized his commitment, stating that he and the extensive team of federal officers and agents involved in “Operation Midway Blitz” are eager to increase the number of arrests as the operation proceeds.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced Thursday that since the operation’s commencement on September 8, over 3,000 arrests have been made.
