BRISTOL, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Bristol, Tennessee Police Department (BTPD) is currently investigating two separate fatal traffic accidents that occurred on Thursday. One incident involved a motorcycle, while the other involved a pedestrian.

A news release from the BTPD detailed that the first crash occurred just after 5 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 394 and Whitetop Road, involving an SUV and a motorcycle.

The BTPD reported that one person was transported to the Bristol Regional Medical Center and later pronounced dead. However, the police did not clarify if the deceased individual was from the SUV or the motorcycle.

The second incident happened just before 9 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 126 and Meadow Street and involved a vehicle and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian was taken to the Bristol Medical Center and later pronounced deceased, the BTPD reported.

The identities of the deceased from both incidents are being withheld pending notification of family, according to the BTPD.
