Caleb Aldridge takes over Fisher/GCMS soccer

FISHER, Ill. (WCIA) — Fisher/GCMS has marked a significant milestone by hiring a new boys’ coach after clinching a regional title for the first time in over twenty years, with the coach having ties to Central Illinois.

Caleb Aldridge, hailing from Champaign, adds a former player’s perspective to his newly appointed position as head coach, after playing five seasons at Messiah University in Pennsylvania.

“I’m big for sportsmanship over gamesmanship,” stated Aldridge. “In certain field scenarios, how can you maintain your composure?” “It’s crucial because you’re representing Fisher/GCMS.” “Equally important, you’re representing your family, yourself, and your personal values, so what does it mean to exhibit character on the field?”

The Bunnies went 20-4-1 in 2024, finishing with a loss to U-High in the sectional title match.

Aldridge was born in England.
