Pedestrian viaduct closed in Champaign for 'public safety' reasons

The City of Champaign, Illinois, is collaborating with a community-focused health organization to conduct a series of meetings aimed at curbing violence and enhancing awareness about street outreach initiatives.

Acclivus Inc., which approaches violence with a public health perspective, operates throughout the greater Chicagoland area and Illinois. Together with the City of Champaign, they will kick off four community meetings starting this Wednesday. These gatherings are part of an ongoing effort to combat local violence.
