During a campus event in Utah, conservative activist Charlie Kirk was tragically assassinated while addressing an audience. Known for his efforts in galvanizing youth support for President Trump, Kirk was considered a prominent figure in conservative circles. Following the incident, the FBI Director reported that an individual previously detained has now been released. NBC News’ Liz Kreutz provides coverage of the event. Sept. 11, 2025
