Jessye Norman School of the Arts vandalized, asking for community support

AUGUSTA, Ga. () – The Jessye Norman School of the Arts in downtown Augusta was vandalized last week.

In a Facebook Post, it said a rock was thrown through the window.

You Can’t Break the Spirit of the Arts 💛

Thursday morning greeted our team with an unwelcome surprise: a rock had been hurled through the window of our Visual Arts classroom. Although the glass was shattered, our resolve and mission remained intact.

At JNSA, we instill in our students that art embodies transformation. Even during trying times like these, we’re reminded that beauty can always be restored, especially when a community unites.

The repair is estimated to cost $2,000, and we invite those who support our cause to help us restore this creative environment — a space where imagination and possibility flourish daily.

✨ Let’s turn this setback into a symbol of strength, unity, and shared purpose.
