BRISTOL, Tenn. (WJHL) — Fast cars and a fast offense, that’s what people spent the day in Bristol rooting for.
Fans of both the Georgia Bulldogs and Tennessee Volunteers gathered in the new Bud Light Football Zone at Bristol Motor Speedway to witness the kickoff of the SEC season. There were attendees who traveled all the way from Pennsylvania, indicating that the combination of football and NASCAR is hard to beat.
“We’ve been visiting for the past six years, set up since Tuesday,” said Tyler Millets from Pennsylvania to News Channel 11. “The addition of this tent is an outstanding idea. Whoever thought of it deserves a commendation.”
Brad Farley, who traveled from Morrisburg, Tennessee, shared with News Channel 11 that it was his and his wife’s first visit to a race at Bristol Motor Speedway, and the experience exceeded all their expectations.
“We’re celebrating our anniversary here, and I have to say, it’s truly Bristol! It’s an amazing race,” expressed Farley. “I feel like a kid in a candy shop. It’s the best experience I’ve ever had. I hadn’t anticipated seeing something like this, and their fan zone is impressive. I hope it continues to expand. The way they prioritize the fans is truly exceptional. Just outstanding.”
Overall, fans said the Bud Light Football Zone made race night one of the best experiences they’ve ever had.
