Good morning from Savannah, Georgia! I’m Alysa Carsley, your StormTeam 3 Meteorologist, here to help you kick off a fantastic Thursday.
Today promises to be quite similar to what we’ve experienced over the past couple of days, offering a delightful blend of cool morning breezes with afternoon temperatures ranging from the upper 70s to the low 80s. The East Coast will continue to bask under the influence of high pressure, expected to persist throughout the weekend.
Looking ahead to Friday and Saturday, brace yourself for some of the coolest mornings of the season. Temperatures are predicted to dip into the upper 40s in inland areas, while the coast will experience milder lows in the mid-50s. Despite the chilly start, daytime highs will hover around a comfortable mid to upper 70s.
As we move toward Sunday, a cold front is set to make its approach. Although this front is relatively weak, we’re keeping an eye on a modest 20% chance of rain along its path. Expect to see an increase in cloud cover as the front nears. There might be a brief shower as it passes through Sunday evening into Monday morning, but most areas are likely to remain dry. Temperature-wise, you can count on a continuation of the upper 70s to lower 80s.
