As Veterans Day approaches, the Tennessee Department of Agriculture has unveiled a new suite of online resources aimed at assisting military veterans interested in launching farms or agricultural businesses.

Announced this Tuesday, the digital resource center provides a comprehensive array of tools, ranging from guidance on securing grants and funding to detailed instructions for scaling existing agricultural ventures.

“These resources are crafted to facilitate veterans in forging rewarding careers in agriculture,” stated Agriculture Commissioner Andy Holt. “We take pride in supporting those who have served our nation and state by aiding their success within Tennessee’s varied agricultural landscape.”

Beyond offering practical tools, the platform includes inspiring stories from veteran farmers across Tennessee. One such story features Nick Nicholls, who ventured into agriculture four years after retiring from the U.S. Army.

“We believe in the importance of every farmer, and we’re eager to assist others in applying for grants,” Nicholls remarked, as noted on the resource hub’s website.
