PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A former mixed martial arts fighter known as “The Cadillac” will spend the next 50 years behind bars.

A 33-year-old named Zachary Lee Andrews was sentenced to 50 years in prison by a Multnomah County judge on Friday for the sexual assault of three homeless women in Portland.

“Though no sentence can reverse the trauma inflicted, this decision ensures he won’t harm others again,” stated Multnomah County District Attorney Nathan Vasquez. “We appreciate the bravery of the survivors whose testimonies exposed the truth.”

Between October 2021 and October 2022, Andrews forcibly raped and strangled three unhoused women in their tents. He detained one woman for 12 hours. In two instances, Andrews claimed to police that the women had a “force fantasy” and desired the assaults.

Andrews was found guilty of 16 charges, including three counts of first-degree rape, two counts of first-degree sodomy, three counts of first-degree sexual abuse, three counts of strangulation, first-degree kidnapping, first-degree unlawful penetration, and three counts of fourth-degree assault.
