OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – Two people were killed in separate crashes in Osceola County within a few hours of each other from late Friday night into early Saturday, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
According to troopers, the first wreck was reported around 11:30 p.m. Friday at Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway and Vacanza Boulevard.
Investigators said a 45-year-old motorcyclist was fatally injured after crashing into the rear of a vehicle ahead of him.
Authorities have not released information about the people in the other vehicle.
The second fatal crash occurred shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday at Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway and Pineview Crest Road, troopers said.
In that case, a 32-year-old man was walking in the roadway when he was struck by a vehicle, according to FHP.
Troopers said the pedestrian was not using a marked crosswalk and was directly in the vehicle’s path.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers say everyone in the vehicle stayed at the scene.
Both crashes are under investigation.
