Florida man on death row for Cracker Barrel murders dies in prison

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida man on death row for the 1995 murder of three Cracker Barrel workers has died in prison. He was 55.

Records from the Florida Department of Corrections showed that Brandy Jennings died in prison on Sunday. His cause of death was not released.

The Naples Daily News revealed that Jennings, alongside his accomplice Charles Jason Graves, faced convictions on three counts of capital first-degree murder, in addition to one count of robbery, concerning the deaths of Jason Wiggins, Dorothy Siddle, and Vicki Smith.

Court records showed that Jennings and Graves were both former Cracker Barrel employees and had two failed attempts to rob the restaurant.

According to the news source, on November 15, 1995, Jennings and Graves targeted the Cracker Barrel located off Interstate 75 in Naples. During the incident, they stole approximately $6,000 and murdered Wiggins, Siddle, and Smith. The victims were discovered in the freezer, with their hands tied and their throats cut.

Jennings and Graves were picked up by police in Las Vegas after Collier County investigators issued a nationwide bulletin.

Graves and Jennings were convicted in separate trials in Pinellas County in 1996.
