HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. () — Additional footage has surfaced showing a confrontation involving teenage boys and a Beaufort County Sheriff’s deputy, who has been dismissed from his position.

The off-duty deputy, identified as Master Sergeant William Squires, was seen aiming a firearm at the teenagers in Hilton Head Island’s Squiresgate neighborhood.

He was fired on Friday by the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office for violating 7 different policies.

The video, released by the family of one of the boys, shows what transpired after the initial altercation.

One of the boys was put into hand cuffs by Squires, who was off duty at the time.

Squires can be heard in the video talking to a mom of one of the boys who arrived on scene.

“I don’t give a ****. He hit a cop, he’s going to jail,” said Squires.

The boys, who were still visibly upset, yelled back at the deputy.

“You pointed a gun at our face,” they said.

The boy that was detained by Squires is the one previously shown pushing the deputy in the viral video.

The deputy told people standing near the scene, the teen is being arrested for “hitting a cop”.

He also mentioned that the incident happened after he got a report of the kids drawing a gun. It was not confirmed if a weapon was found.

The sheriff’s office did arrive on scene later in the video.

The video captures a deputy approaching the group of boys and their relatives standing nearby, while another deputy joins Squires and the apprehended teenager.

“Get him in the car,’ said Squires to the responding deputy.

The deputy lifted the teen up and walked him to the vehicle, where he is seen putting him in the back seat of the patrol car.

The video shortly ends after. The family did say the boy was later let go by law enforcement after witnessing the videos.

requested the body camera footage of the responding deputies to the scene, but that request was denied.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is still investigating into possible criminal charges on Squires.
