GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. () — The Glynn County Police Department (GCPD) has arrested four men in connection to a shoplifting incident.
On July 26, at around 12:52 p.m., the GCPD received reports about a group trying to steal ammunition from the Academy Sports store on Canal Crossing.
Upon arrival, officers saw the suspected car leaving the scene and pulled it over for a traffic stop, detaining four individuals. During a search of the vehicle, they discovered the stolen ammunition and a stolen Magpul rifle foregrip.
Continuing their search, officials also uncovered three concealed loaded firearms: a Zigana PX-9 9mm handgun, a Glock 23 .40 caliber handgun, and a Taurus G2C 9mm handgun with an extended 30-round magazine.
Another stolen gun was found concealed on a passenger, Jadon Lablanc. The handgun had been reported missing in April from Westminster Club Apartments.
The men involved are facing the following charges:
- Davarius Cooper, 20, is charged with driving while unlicensed and possession of marijuana less one ounce.
- Ladonte Lavaugh Roberts, 17, is charged with theft by shoplifting and theft by receiving stolen firearm.
- Jadon Lewis Lablanc, 21, is charged with theft by shoplifting, false statements, giving false name and date of birth.
- Johnta Ja’Bree Pierce, 19, is charged with false statement.
