RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. () – A shooting near a local business is now under investigation.
At around 3 a.m. on Sunday, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office was called to a shooting incident close to the Fishbowl Lounge on Lumpkin Road in Augusta.
All roads were shut down in every direction as numerous units arrived at the location to address a call about a black male, dressed entirely in black, who was seen walking with a gun and firing shots toward the business.
Drones were used to search the woods where the subject was last seen as Richmond County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were arriving on the scene.
Roads were reopened around 3:31 a.m. Sunday morning after the suspect was unable to be located via K-9 or drone. The area was deemed all-clear.
There were only minor injuries as a result of the shooting; one male subject was treated on-site by EMS for injuries due to broken glass.
