The Idaho State Police have unveiled a collection of 699 photographs taken inside Bryan Kohberger’s apartment and office in Pullman, Washington—locations linked to his studies at Washington State University.

In photos obtained by , Kohberger had writing all over his office whiteboard, some of which read “Take it easy!” and “Don’t give up.”

Among Kohberger’s possessions, criminal justice books were discovered, apparently aligning with his duties as a teaching assistant and his academic quest toward a criminology Ph.D.

One specific book addressed the issue of sexual victimization of women on college campuses. Months before Kohberger committed the murders of Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Ethan Chapin, and Xana Kernodle in 2022, a former professor had alerted others to his unsettling inclinations.

Within Kohberger’s living room, greeting cards from family were placed on the television stand. A card, seemingly from his mother, stated, “A son never truly departs from your home, yet always stays in your heart.”

A black glove was also found in Kohberger’s closet, but it was not connected to the murder.

Photographs of Kohberger’s detailed research papers were captured, covering topics such as understanding criminal psychology, the death penalty, and policing in small towns.

Kohberger is being held in Idaho’s maximum security prison and says he is being tormented and threatened by fellow inmates.
