Individual Injured in 'Security Incident' Outside CIA Headquarters, Officials Report

(WDCW/NEXSTAR) – One person has been injured in a shooting on CIA property near the agency’s headquarters in McLean, Virginia, on Thursday morning.

Details remain limited; however, Fairfax County police said the shooting took place around 4 a.m. in the 900 block of Dolley Madison Boulevard.

A spokesperson for the CIA provided a statement confirming a “security incident” to Nexstar, but did not disclose additional information.

“A security incident occurred outside the CIA Headquarters, prompting law enforcement response. The main entrance is temporarily closed, and more information will be provided when available.”

On Thursday, Fairfax County police managed traffic due to a CIA investigation. Although no roads were shut down, drivers in the vicinity were advised to follow police directives.
