El Paso man sentenced to 55 years for child sex abuse

In El Paso, Texas, a local man has been handed a 55-year prison sentence following his conviction for the continuous sexual abuse of two minors over a five-year span. The El Paso County District Attorney’s Office confirmed the sentencing.

The trial of 49-year-old Cesar Lazcano commenced earlier this month, culminating in a unanimous guilty verdict on October 20. Lazcano faced charges of two counts of continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14, along with one count of indecency with a child by sexual contact.
