(WJHL) — In an effort to revitalize a cherished downtown icon, the Kingsport Economic Development Board has set its sights on acquiring the historic State Theater located on Broad Street. The board has proposed a purchase price of $175,000 for the property. According to city officials, the previous owner invested in the building’s foundation, ensuring its structural integrity remains intact.
