STATESBORO, Ga. () — The Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) arrested a man charged with the murder of 2-year-old child Tuesday.

Lenorace Sampson, 23, is facing charges on two counts of felony murder, two counts of cruelty to children and aggravated assault.

The arrest originated from an investigation that began in October 2023, triggered by a 911 call reporting a child who wasn’t breathing. Unfortunately, despite the first responders’ attempts to save the child, their efforts were in vain.

Following an extensive investigation by the BCSO, the case was brought before a Bulloch County Grand Jury. This led to a True Bill Indictment on the criminal charges specified.

The death of the child was determined to have been caused by blunt force trauma.

Sampson has been arrested and is currently awaiting further court proceedings.

BCSO is asking anyone with information related to the case to contact investigator Pre Cone at 912-764-1703.
