Dozens rescued from sinking luxury yacht off Miami Beach

() Thirty-two people were rescued from a sinking yacht near Miami Beach over the weekend, authorities said.

The 63-foot boat began taking on water off Monument Island around 5 p.m. Saturday, the U.S. Coast Guard said.

In video footage and photos of the incident, several passengers can be seen standing on top of the front of the vessel as crews work to transport them to safety.

Crews from the Coast Guard, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and marine patrol units from local police agencies responded to calls for help.

Authorities said an investigation into the cause of the incident is ongoing.

The vessel, identified as a “Tecnomar for Lamborghini” yacht, retails for upward of $4 million, according to WPEC.
