Beaufort County School District announces new Beaufort Middle principal

BEAUFORT, S.C. () — The Beaufort County School District (BCSD) named Beaufort Middle School’s new principal Tuesday.

Jennifer Morillo, who has previously been an administrator in the BCSD, will step into the position vacated by Elandee Thompson, PhD. Thompson is set to become the principal at Battery Creek High School, according to a district spokesperson.

Morillo has held principal positions at both Beaufort Elementary School and what is now called Robert Smalls Leadership Academy, previously Robert Smalls International Academy.

She also served as assistant principal at Lady’s Island Middle School, a district spokesperson said.

Superintendent Frank Rodriguez stated, “She has the necessary experience and grasps the significance of fostering a district and school environment focused on enhancing academic excellence and ensuring our students thrive.”
