GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK, Tenn. (WATE) — Park rangers are actively searching the Big Creek section of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park for a missing individual, as reported by the National Park Service.
The missing person, 21-year-old Ryan Lakes, was last spotted in Nashville on Thursday, and his 2017 black Chevy Malibu was located at the Big Creek Ranger Station parking area on Saturday, according to the NPS.
Lakes is described as a white male, 5’5” in height, with brown hair and hazel eyes, weighing approximately 130 pounds. At the time he was last seen, he was wearing dark gym shorts, a dark T-shirt, brown tennis shoes, and carrying a black backpack. His vehicle carries the license plate number 926BLMX.
