Soggier pattern in place through the weekend

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A wetter weather pattern is set through the weekend. Rain probabilities will rise early each day, bringing in showers and storms from the Gulf. These downpours will travel west to east across the state, with morning rain chances higher than in the evening.

Rainfall will be most abundant in our coastal areas daily, with 2-4 inches of rain possible in certain locations. Brief localized flooding might occur.

With the added clouds and rain, temperatures will be closer to typical highs near 90 degrees. Low temperatures will remain quite humid in the low 80s.

Lower rain chances return next week with fewer showers overall. By the end of the week, the afternoon storm pattern returns.
