Suzanne Simpson case: Judge lets indictment against husband stand

The sister of Suzanne Simpson, the Texas wife and mother of four who vanished one year ago this week, is now facing charges for allegedly harassing the family members of Simpson’s husband, who is accused of murdering the missing woman.

Suzanne Simpson, aged 51, went missing on October 6, 2024, following a domestic altercation with her husband, Brad, outside their Olmos Park residence near San Antonio. The 53-year-old has been charged with his wife’s murder and is currently held on a $3 million bail.

Teresa Clark, Suzanne Simpson’s sister, is now embroiled in legal issues herself. She has been arrested for reportedly harassing Brad Simpson’s relatives through intimidating phone calls and a targeted social media campaign. Police reports indicate that Clark’s communications included threats such as, “You don’t know who you’re messing with,” and “You will not get away with this.”

Suzanne Simpson’s sister faces misdemeanor charges: Reporter

Investigative reporter Sig Christenson with the San Antonio Express-News notes that Clark could face a $2,000 fine or 180 days in jail, or even both, if convicted of the misdemeanor charges.

“There’s a lot of anger and grief in both of those families,” he told “Banfield” on Wednesday.

Brad Simpson’s trial is set for February 2026.

An affidavit unsealed last year revealed that Suzanne Simpson had confided in her banker, saying “that if she went missing to look for her in a lake.” The affidavit also noted that Brad Simpson was captured on camera heading to a dump with trash bags the day after she was last observed.

DNA matching Suzanne Simpson’s was reportedly found on a motorized handsaw owned by Brad Simpson, which he allegedly attempted to conceal during the police search for her.
