PORT ROYAL, S.C. () — The Port Royal Police Department arrested a man in connection to three different cases Sunday.
A 23-year-old man from Beaufort was identified by a neighbor’s security camera after he reportedly took a gun from an unlocked car around 7 p.m. on May 24 in the Broad River Village area.
Later that evening, a resident discovered footage on their doorbell camera of the man behaving indecently outside their residence, according to a police spokesperson. Officers managed to identify the man once more from the video.
The next day, officers responded to a call at Azalea Square regarding a reported package theft. The suspect was found nearby in possession of the stolen items, police stated.
He was taken into custody, and a warrant was served for indecent exposure. Additional charges for larceny are pending, the spokesperson said.
Police have not recovered the gun yet.
