Lincoln Trail Homestead State Park & Memorial holding scavenger hunt

MT. ZION, Ill. (WCIA) — A scavenger hunt is taking place at the Lincoln Trail Homestead State Park and Memorial on Saturday.

The Mt. Zion scavenger hunt begins at 1 p.m. at the Railsplitter Pavilion. Participants will use clues to explore nature and history within Lincoln Trail Homestead State Park. This outdoor activity is designed for families and combines education with enjoyment.

The event is free and does not require registration. The park is located approximately 10 miles directly west of Decatur. To reach it, take Route 36 beyond Harristown to Lincoln Trail Memorial Parkway, proceed four miles south, and the park will be on the road’s east side.
