Launch targeted for 6:33 a.m. Thursday

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – Space Coast residents planning an early start Tuesday will have a major event to watch as SpaceX prepares to launch a Falcon 9 rocket carrying the Dragon CRS-35 cargo spacecraft to the International Space Station.
Liftoff is scheduled for 6:33 a.m. from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
If the Tuesday launch is delayed, SpaceX has a backup opportunity Wednesday at 6:08 a.m.
People across Central Florida may hear sonic booms as the Falcon 9’s first-stage booster heads back for a landing. After separating from the rocket, the booster will make its eighth landing attempt at Landing Zone 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
Dragon has already completed three resupply missions: CRS-26, CRS-29 and CRS-33. The spacecraft is expected to reach the space station after an approximately 52-hour journey and autonomously dock Thursday at about 11 a.m.
