18-year-old killed in overnight Springfield shooting; two others hurt

The Springfield Police Department has recently alerted the public about a series of scams reported throughout October involving fraudulent donation requests.

On October 16, individuals posing as charity representatives approached residents, claiming to collect donations for the Boys and Girls Club. These men solicited credit card contributions, only to charge amounts significantly higher than the donors had agreed to.
